How Do You

I often ask myself,
"How do you get over the loss of someone you love so much?"
The answer is, "You never do."
No matter how many people try to tell me to move on, I just can't let you go.
People have always told me to get over you,
But you were my life, my reason for living.
Without you, I just feel like dying.
My life is over without you here with me.
I love you so much.
You were my guardian angel.
When you were sick,
I wanted to be your guardian angel.
Even though, deep in my heart,
I knew you would never get better.
I prayed day and night,
But nothing seemed to work.
I felt like I was dying with you,
I only wish I could have.
I love you, Daddy, and I always will.
