Pretty sky

Up high above our heads so high,
Is a vast and endless sky.
Blue and clear on sunny days,
Filled with stars on starry nights.

Sometimes clouds come rolling in,
Covering the sky with grey and thin.
But even then it's still so grand,
A sight that takes your breath in hand.

And as the day turns into night,
The sky turns to a darker sight.
Filled with hues of orange and red,
A sight that fills our hearts with dread.

But soon the stars come out to play,
Lighting up the sky in their own way.
And so the sky remains a wonder,
A sight that fills our hearts with thunder
