I actually wrote this way back when I was still in high school round 2010 but it stuck in my head every now and again. I'm from Enterprise down in Wallowa County, OR. Thought my dad might get a little laugh out of my poem thinking it'd be me running. He has stage 4 cancer an hasn't been doing to good, an even if things are a bit rough right now I just really wanted to make him smile a little more cause I love and care about him very much.     One might be a bit out of tune on how to take this death's beer poem. I do not get it. I myself am not quite sure what all this really means. Yes, death's beer, but how thus? What is the true significance or real meaning of all this? Why dear's beer as supposed to, one might say, death's knife or poison, or luck. I do not see the connection of death to beer. It sounds kind of funny after all.
