THE MERCY OF CHRIST

Mira Vasante 1968 (PONDICHERRY)

What is the Mercy of Christ?
From it springs act of forgiveness;
How hard a sinner you are,
His Mercy is more divine and powerful:
Powerful to cleanse the soul from sin,
To cleanse the soul from darkness,
To cleanse the soul from ignorance,
To cleanse the soul from all impurities,
To bring you to the Light,
To bring you to the Truth,
To bring you closer to God,
To bring you into His kingdom,
To make you a part of His royal family,
To make you His very own.
Such is the greatness and power of the Mercy of Christ!

Firstly, I absolutely love the depth and emotion you've managed to capture in 'The Mercy of Christ.' There's this beautiful flow throughout your poem that truly encapsulates the purity and limitless mercy that Christ offers. The repetitive style in this poem also brings out an emphasis on the transforming aspect of Christ's Mercy, which I felt was really impactful.

Your words evoke a powerful imagery of redemption and deliverance, painting a clear picture of the divine mercy of Christ. Your use of religious symbolism like light, truth, and the kingdom are very effective in driving the theme home.

Just a few gentle suggestions for improvement - Perhaps, you could consider incorporating some more vivid, metaphorical language to further enhance readers' experience. You might want to explore the use of a metaphor for forgiveness or for the journey from sin to redemption. Also, if it aligns with your creative vision, exploring different poetic structures could add a whole new dimension to your verses.

Keep up the stellar work! This is a truly inspiring and profound piece communicating a message of hope through divine forgiveness. It's exceptionally appealing to those seeking solace in faith, but it also contains universal, heart-touching themes anyone can relate to. Keep writing and exploring this beautiful talent you have!
