Deep In Depression
Where did all the time go
For so long I can't believe I felt this low
It wasn't just a passing phase
My mind was in a cloudy haze
It was hard to fake being happy
When you're feeling this crappy
So I slowly withdrew
From all the people I knew
And I soon became invisible
To those who thought I was miserable
I wish people were a little more kind
Because what's going on inside, to the naked eye is blind
Though the signs were all there
still nobody showed that they really care
So where has everybody gone?
That was a question to my mum
You pushed them away
That's what she used to say
But society hasn't really been good to me
Not passing the buck, I'm taking accountability
I was only trying to protect myself
But as a result it affected my mental health
Now it feels so empty inside
It felt like I had already died...
A long time ago
It's too late to do anything but at least now you know
That this life wasn't meant to be
For me to continue on with the family tree
I hope now that you truly understand
This must've been the devil's doing and not apart of God's plan.
About this poem
My poem could be considered a bit gloomy and depressing by people who are enjoying life at the moment but I wrote it to capture my on going feelings and to reach other people who may be feeling the same way who need help but can't express it and also to show them that they're not alone.
