Deer in the headlights
 interrupted midflight   

Mysterious intervention by the unknown   
Caught up in the moment

frozen as if hypnotized by death’s stare
somethings in the air

we are blind…

Can’t feel it

even though, you know its close

Too late to run… can’t hide,
no help …in sight    

Can’t stop the falling tears

in desperation…
To surrender in the face of overwhelming odds

There are but two roads of which to choose

To evade the moment of this disastrous calamity

Or fight,

despite the fright of odds,

Which eclipse our ability
to see

A way past… our Fear
