LAND



There are things that I want to talk about, the things that are still. Haunting me, the things that I hide inside and will not let my mind that holds these thoughts be free. I'm climbing deeper down the rabbit hole. I want to explore all of those things. I was told to stay away from them, or I might become one of them. I might get the disease they call crazy and will have me laughing like a loon at the moon.

I'm left all alone with these words starting to become my gospel, but I'm not a religious man or an apostle. These sentences are stopping me from going over the edge. Forgive me, Father. I will continue to live my life my way where if it is confirmed, you will think I'm living in sin every day. And in a man-made hell, I will burn.

I am left here to wander, but I am not lost. I found myself when the sun went down and the coldness of the night mountain air kept me warm, and I thought, why do I care what others think when they are gone? In the blink of an eye, I will not shed a tear when and if I die.

I am no longer careless but carefree. My soul was meant to fly in a sky that no others can see because I'm not afraid to spread my wings to see what another day can bring, so it does not matter who understands. As long as I am on my own two feet when i decide  I land
