Between the shores
Charles Fields II 1955 (Fort Bragg, NC)
As life waters
churn between us
filling spaces
with errands i assign myself
Tasks/Letters written,
some never sent
trying to be cheerful
masking tears
my longing strongly affected
By my resolve’s cost
sense of trust
reassurances
A seed for unshaken confidence
being there, still sure
All too little effect
against hunger pangs of haunting loneliness,
for which there is no cure
All, memories of you
warm embraces,
Persistent kisses
screams of passion
which cannot be erased
the love scent
hovering in the air
lips, your tongue, your hair,
your legs, your breasts,
your hips and more,
calming me within.
Soothing sounds,
a persistent loving gaze,
conversing in loving words i long to hear
once more/we pause,
catch our breath, laughing,
blowing kisses without words
remembering, even tough times
as i sleep/calling to you,
continuously tossing, turning
here i stand, reluctant warrior,
priest, man/a temple guardian
for love/painted with your scent
candle flames
burning feverishly @ heart
silently suffering endless days,
counting hours, returning fast
coming back at last
final leg of a journey home,
spirit sensing your proximity,
teasing depths in the tidal wave’s dance
Emotions lead mind
follow bending arcs
distant shores echoes
each ripple of waves
recurrent loving thoughts
launched cycles of perpetual flashbacks
enthralled throes of anticipation
i swerve seeking the most direct course,
a tasty treat,
a ritual breakfast toast,
invitations accepted in my mind
as we, together meet...
For a source of provisionment
a meditative blend of sustenance
along the back roads
taken from real subliminal excursions,
quick stopping, for supplies
at a local breakfast shop,
shopping for a few items.
You are with me,
i am loving you,
even from afar
as i beacon you to join me,
in a photographic paradise
eagerly coming to surface
to your heartbeat rhythm,
strumming drumbeats,
pounding beats
fresh as our sweeping motions
merge, converging
locking in Into an array
autoerotic aerobic, acrobatics
Niagara Falls, Old Faithful,
geysers of frenzied emotion,
pounding flesh till we're
damn near out of breath
Rushing with a storm surge
of the restless ocean
eye’s locked we begin to dip
slide within shared pools of wetness
keeping always fresh
coming back for more
each time Seeking to restore
balance, extending we ascend
to a higher visual state
of consciousness within
Walking the tightrope
with open hearts
giving best efforts not to slip
losing grip, upon what’s real,
lest we lose control,
as if we fall helpless
between the dream,
vanish without a trace
With no resistance
i slip between your hips
let go Too late
to employ countermeasures
losing ground faster
to bring us further
knowing you
@greater depth,
found
Dear to my heart friend,
soul being to the end
to propose a toast
catch a second wind…
Coming back to a place
beyond trends,
pointed back
against the wind
homeward bound…
once more
You’ll always be,
my treasure ship
Time and time, again
