The Breath
Halls echo the words of the past
Bringing you close to tears
That path of least resistance
Carrying your sadness and fears
The aftermath of those feelings
The breath you couldn’t take
Forging ahead for some sanity
Your truth and scars in the wake
Smokescreens have all vanished
And those vapors felt like rain
Down the path of least resistance
Without semblance, without blame
It’s within the search for obscurity
You try to achieve your peace
The breath you held for so long
Can finally be released
About this poem
Trying to hide from past memories, hurts and failed dreams. To achieve inner peace by meeting those emotional challenges head on.
