What love truly means

Love, a word with endless power,
An emotion that can make us soar,
More than just a fleeting feeling,
It's a force that brings true healing.

Love is not fleeting or shallow,
Not just a momentary glow,
It's a commitment to be there,
Through every joy and every tear.

Love is sacrifice, pure and true,
To put another before me or you,
A selfless act, beyond measure,
To love relentlessly without leisure.

Love is patient, never in haste,
A steady rhythm, never a race,
It gives without expecting in return,
And lets the embers of affection burn.

Love listens with an open ear,
A longing to understand and endear,
It holds the space for spoken words,
And cherishes the thoughts unheard.

Love is a beacon, guiding the way,
Through the darkest nights and brightest days,
It ignites the flames of hope and grace,
And fills the voids, leaving no trace.

Love is acceptance, flaws and all,
Every imperfection, big or small,
It embraces the scars that make us whole,
And sees the beauty within our soul.

Love is a dancing synergy,
With two hearts entwined in harmony,
A melody of trust, respect, and care,
A love that's genuine and aware.

So let us seek love's boundless light,
In every moment, day or night,
For love is not a mere notion or scheme,
It's the essence of life, the ultimate dream.
