what is she looking for in other people that I don’t have

I suppose you’re parents were right when they asked you if I’d be like that again
I never considered myself the “crazy” type
At least not until then
I wanted to go to back to how I was before
I know you want that too
For a while when I looked into your eyes I would see all the lies you had told me
And then i forgave you and it got better
I thought I had healed
I thought we could move on
And then she came along
I want so badly to believe you that it’s nothing
Just another friend, just another coworker
but I see the microscopic lies that i have heard once before
Littles hearts and smiles
Hanging around when I’m out of town
I find it hard to believe that you called and told me you missed me
When In reality you had found a newer me
A younger me
A skinnier me
You said she reminds you of your sister
Forgetting that’s one of the first things you said you liked about me
I wish I didn’t know you so well
I wish I wasn’t immediately able to tell
Maybe I am just crazy
But these thoughts are hard to believe when instinct has never failed me
This may be worse than last time
At least we’re weren’t officially together
At least I had things that she didn’t
At least you confessed a portion of it
I’m scared that I may have rebuilt my home after the earthquake
And failed to consider the aftershock to come.
This time is different
This time it won’t be able to be built  again
