Be Ye Lifted Up!
By the Grace of God we’re all saved.
Returned to wholeness from brokenness.
A wretched soul that each of us is.
Notwithstanding, he watches over us.
Dispensing healing by his mighty powers.
Overlooking all our weaknesses.
Not focusing on our ills but our strengths.
Creating in us a new heart.
All this he does out of Love.
Secure thus we are by his mercy.
Each one of us he elevates.
You, me, and all who trust in him.
By divine providence and grace.
Emanating from God’s sovereignty.
You have been given dispensation.
Each day that now passes.
Let God’s light shine within you.
Increase within your sinews.
Faithfully to serve him.
That by your convictions.
Each one that you encounter.
Draws closer too to serve him.
Universal is that true love.
Provided by God’s mercy.
About this poem
Faith, Hope, Love, but the greatest of these is God’s divine love. This free verse five-stanza poem, written in the form of an acrostic, is composed especially for Brandon Casey who recently (in September 2023) survived from a near fatal automobile accident. He remains receiving medical care and attention as he continues to heal. Brandon, God rescued you from a near fatal car accident. Out of the heap of brokenness he brought you out for his purpose. We pray that by God’s divine hand and intervention you will be brought back to wholeness. To all who are sick in body, soul or mind, and ailing physically, emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually from varied addictions, be ye all lifted up by the grace, love and mercy of the Lord. The Peace of the LORD be with you all. more »
