Peace

ember 2007 (MUMBAI)

I was walking on the beach
hearing the sound of waves peacefully,
letting the sense of calm take over me,
seeing the sunrise across the sea.

The never ending sea it may seem, but it has an end,
reminding me i do too.
The land and sky meeting the sea in front of me,
this scenery with changing colours seems to be the most beautiful thing i have ever seen.

I saw the sun rising, now its setting,
going somewhere else.
The moon now risen shines so brightly,
borrowing light yet so seems ethereal to me,
controlling waves with its gravity.

The waves come and leave, they wash my legs,
not to be seen but still there,
just like memories.
I keep walking, leaving footprints,
that will soon disappear with the rising tide.
I am finally at peace.
