Thunderstorms
Darrell Shook 1978 (North Carolina)
As the sun grew dim,
heavy rains slowly begin.
grey clouds fill the sky,
roaring thunder as clouds collide.
wind howls as weaken trees tumble,
lightning flashes followed by a rumble.
rain strengthens thunder echoes for miles,
night fall approaches winds quite down.
when the heavy fog appears,
the end should be near,
rain stops and stars shine bright,
now we can have a peaceful night.
