Secrets of The Slumbering Heart

Each day, I wither like a fading bloom,
As I must guide you further, into gloom,
Into the abyss of memories untold,
Where secrets and dreams in darkness unfold.

In slumber's cradle, I often ponder and dream,
Am I nestle with your thoughts, it would seem?
Deep in the abyss, our souls entwine with grace,
where secrets and desires find their rightful place.

In this clandestine realm where shadows play,
we meet to share our life  be in the gentlest way,
But under the sun' embrace, we dare not reveal,
the passion we hide, a secret we zealously conceal.

Alas, lost in a dream where reality fades away,
I let my imagination run wild, at bay,
in a realm of the mind, where all things take flight,
I soar on wings of day dreams day and night.

About this poem

I wrote this poem because I couldn't express my truth for fear of where the path might lead.
