Shades of gratitude

One may say "Green!" Or "Red!" But you will never hear a soul say yellow. Yellow will watch as all the others get pulled and picked as it is left to rot. It does not frown, though. It rejoices the sunrises and sunsets it gets to watch. The trees as they grow and grow. The bird's nest that appeared on the branch it sits. Yellow is grateful.
