Prudes
Prudes
Roaming the world like wicked witches
Prudish women sweep society
In utter disgust of sexual allure
Judges repulsed by nature
Condemning art of the human body
As if their revulsion is sacred
A monopoly on visual truth
And a final authority on indignity.
Righteousness is not about an image
Punishing patrons of beauty
Serves to suppress themselves
Denying the existence of love
Its wholesome expression
Feelings and inspiration
In affections you can see
Reducing beautiful to blemishes.
Intolerance for the feminine form
Places women beyond grace
Eliminating any hope
Reverence is possible gratitude
The prudish diminish sex
As forbidden poisonous fruit
Not to be savored or appreciated
But bound in brutal anguish.
