Evermore
Gathering winds as the leaves fall down
The splendor of all that resides in us
All around, you thaw the chill in these bones
You conciliate the afflictions that once was
The touch of your hand resonates all around
You take me into the realm of all the unknowns
Please reassure my fears of the chilling unknowns
I’ll uphold you every time you’re feeling down
There’ll never be a time when I’m not around
Even after death, there’ll always be an us
Proof in our children of all that once was
Our love endures after they lay these bones
Can’t you feel it, the warmth in your bones
I’ll rest assure all your unknowns
You give me sight where blindness once was
I’ll follow you deep all the way down
No other love was greater than us
I’m by your side when no one’s around
When everyone’s gone, will I find you around
Old and grey with creaky old bones
On the porch swing is where you’ll find us
Considering all past amusing unknowns
Cradle me now as I lay my head down
Recollecting on all that once was
Beauty in all past things we once was
Love bloomed wildly encircling around
We’re far up from feeling way down
You’re still the warmth in these chilly old bones
We now know all the unknowns
The future is now past and there’s still an us
We’ve gathered the wind when the leaves fell down
Clinging to one another’s creaky old bones
Love remains here with no others around
