Pandora's Promise
We sit by the lake.
The autumn leaves rain over the blood-red moon
I sit by the lake hypnotized
The flowers of hatred and darkness bloom
The shimmer of the light reflecting the fake smiles
Truth will devour the souls
The lights of the city from far away
Will glow like a candle flickering in the deep depths
A doom for the desperate
A victory for the faithful and true
And from far away I feel a sense of hope
That the pandora's box open for the world to see in true light
About this poem
This poem talks about how truth can give a different perspective and how we fill our lives with lies and hatred without noticing the hope and love we get from others. We sometimes take our lives for advantage and face the consequences. I feel this poem describes those feelings of despair in times of need and how we forget that every cloud has a silver lining.
