Smokey Heart
In a smokey cabin moon filed summers night ,
sits a lonely fellow swinging nights only delight
Swift and gentle says the thunder,
rumbling rumbling in heavy wrenching heart break
Glossed over reflections of pain filled dreams,
never look away, silence is my scream
Cross me over, my lovely friend.
You chase me in my dreams, till the very end
Smooth and hot rips me up apart,
cease the fire, grab my still beating heart
Throw me over to the other side
toss me some luck, before I say goodnight
Listen closely to my demise,
tip it over it’s all taken by night
But what do I see ?
A horizon, it brings me to my knees
Bewildered shock and sweet gentle night,
look at me with those deep dark eyes
Renew my life grace filled lovely smile,
lift me up, from this shit filled pile
Please stay a while you majestic surprise,
new warmth touches my toes,
say you’re real it’s not a disguise
No longer do I wish my life apart,
feel my chest it’s a real beating heart
New life begins, as the old I chase away.
Let me lay here, your laughter keeps nightmares at bay.
Soothing Smokey cabin moon filled hearts,
the dark never lasts too long.
Hold onto me, I’ll swing you to the next part
Surrender your brokenness,
Let light shine in,
swift and strong, your life was never that grim.
