Shadows in the Clouds

I could ask a million questions
Though no answer would come
I could wonder why the rest of my life
But that's not a life for anyone

As I sit writing this
I think of then, I even hear the sounds
And as I look up from my desk
I see their shadows in the clouds

I see who they were
I see who they are
Who they may have become
Still kept in my heart

I see the love they spread
I hear their voices out loud
And yet as I look upon them
I only see their shadows in the clouds

I miss them more then words could say
Tears slowly forming from memories
Sometimes I feel I was left behind
Or they were taken away from me

But I am not the only one hurt
Even in silence, the pain is heard somehow
Yet through the raindrops as I cry
I see their shadows in the clouds

To this day it's not easy
Surging through us they remain
Forever living with our hearts
Forever living as we speak their name

I had feared I was left in darkness
Until I opened my eyes to the sound
Of their joy and happiness they gave
More then just shadows in the clouds

Their love is felt evey moment
Tears and smiles mix upon our faces
Never forgetting their ever lasting life
Found in us, the perfect places

Forever will their love hold you
Forever their voices ring so loud
Forever you will always see them
As more then just shadows in the clouds
