The Light is Good

Oh, what a blessing to be a blessing
To others who walk in the Way
A wonderous, joyous and beautiful sound
That still can be heard; hear today

If you lack encouragement listen to this
It was formed from and given in love
I would like to take credit for all of these words
But they came down from heaven above

1. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
2. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
3. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
4. For God who said: “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
5. This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
6. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth.
7. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellow ship with one another; and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

Read the word of God and be blessed by it, so that you may be a blessing to others.
