Multi-colored Substance less being
Sitting by the fireplace in the wilderness of suburbia. Surrounded by the dwellings of man and beast. Supported by a chair intended for the beach. In place of the waves crashing the shore, it’s the soundlessness of fire consuming its fuel. Flashes of light and blankets of dark alternate as the fire turns wood into ash. Faithfully replenished by the holder of space. The most selfless of tasks that only the egoless can fill. 8:37 the journey began.
Eyes wide open looking deep inside. There’s no where to go in the infinite present. The moment of now suspended above time. Timeless tunes whisper in the background, cutting through the steam trumpet’s wail, taming the sirens that prevail.
The tapestry unfolds as the fire speaks. Fire oh fire what do you say? You brighten. You warm. You harden. You destroy. You multicolored substance-less being how allusive you are. Fragmenting your nutrients into elemental form. Ascending descending to its source of yore.
In your light light can be seen. Images emerge from within your flames. Reptilian scales dot your wood as you transform your devoured ones.
A message can be heard from the distance within. If the fire’s light is achieved by the breaking of bonds, how awesome is the illumination of their unity. Elements unite from the ashes of doom. Growth begins with the seeds decay. Arousing the earth to blossom and convey.
As the one who started at forty enlightened: I see not the gloom of destruction in the soot and the smoke, but the bloom of a future so bright and un-stoked.
