The Loudest Silence

Not a single glisten in the air
nimbus stoic tears frozen in time
locked eyes on the flame loosing consciousness

A broken clock is right twice a day
though blistered hands are paralyzed
picture frames taunt every waking movement
every stumble,
every slip of the tongue

Streetlights mimic fears amongst linear footprints
hidden beyond the lids that seal worst nightmares
particles of lies holding back lost breath

Pale chapped lips spill venomous foam
no puncture can redeem false comfort
