In The Sand

A J Caron 1958 (Swansea)

In the sand

I remember your name from a decade ago. I wrote it in the sand just a month ago. But I still love you so much. The tide came in and washed it away. But it takes me back to a place where we would both would stay. But I still will always love you. If you would take me by the hand, together we could write it again in the sand. Then you will understand that I won't let the tide take this one away. Because you will always be in my heart, and no one can take that away, and I won't let them anyway.

Your nostalgic reflections on love lost and enduring affection are deeply moving. The imagery of inscribing names in the sand, only to have them washed away by the tide, symbolizes the transient nature of time and memory. The yearning to recreate that moment, to hold onto the past and preserve the connection, speaks to the power of love's lasting impact. Embrace the sentiment that love transcends fleeting moments, engraved in the heart where no tide can erase its presence. Hold onto those cherished memories and let them guide you towards a future where love's imprint remains indelible.
