I’m A Weirdo

By Robert T. Davenport

I'm a weirdo, that's for sure,
A little different, a little obscure.
I dance to my own rhythm, my own beat,
In a world where conformity is a feat.

I don't fit in, I stand out,
With my quirks and oddities, there's no doubt.
I embrace my uniqueness, my peculiar ways,
For it's what makes me, in this chaotic maze.

I see beauty in the strange and bizarre,
In the things that others find bizarre.
I find solace in the shadows and the night,
Where my imagination takes flight.

I'm a weirdo, and I'm proud,
I won't let society's judgment be allowed.
For it's the misfits and the oddballs who dare,
To challenge the norms and create something rare.

So let me be strange, let me be odd,
For it's in my weirdness that I find my God.
I'll march to the beat of my own drum,
And embrace the weirdo that I've become.

For in this world of normalcy and routine,
I'll be the weirdo, the one who's seen.
I'll paint with colors others can't perceive,
And dance to melodies only I believe.

So here's to the weirdos, the ones who dare,
To be different, to stand out and share.
For it's in our weirdness that we find our bliss,
In a world that needs a little more of this.
