The Book of John

A Poetic Summary of the Book of John:  

The voice crying out in the wilderness,
Is the testimony of John the Baptist.

Behold! The lamb of God has come, to save the world of sin.
Whosoever believeth in Him, shall not perish, but live again.

I saw the Holy Spirit descend, upon Jesus like a dove,
"This is my beloved Son," uttered the voice of truth from above.

He is the suffering servant, who has come to set us free,
the Messiah foretold in the book of Isaiah- chapter 53.

So, John became an early disciple of Jesus' ministry,
as he witnessed the miracles and signs of Christ's divinity.

Jesus performed miracles, to show spiritual transformation,
Thus, displaying the immortality, that takes place in salvation.

Like, raising Lazarus from the dead.
Yet some rejected these signs of deity,
and fell into darkness instead.

Declaring Jesus, a heresy
and accusing Him of blasphemy!

Although Jesus had done nothing wrong,
Since He existed ...............all along!  
He came in the flesh, with truth and grace,
to sacrifice His blood and redeem the human race.

Jesus is the mediator between God and man,
some find this notion beyond human comprehension.

But upon the cross, as His blood was shed,
They witness His eternal life when He ROSE from the dead!

And, although He has ascended to the right hand of the Father,
Remember, His last commandment is to love one another.

Now, He leaves the Holy Spirit in our hearts as a guide,  
restoring faithfulness, truth and love,
then believers stand sanctified.

The book of John records miracles and signs of Jesus' deity. It shows a path to God's kingdom through His love, grace, and mercy!
