I shed a tear

I shed a tear for the time that is lost.
I shed a tear for the lack of connection it cost.
The years in recent past has had a gap that is now destined to last.
Forever cannot change the decision which was forcibly made.
That horse has now bolted, never to return to that gate.
I am compelled to hear a whisper in the wind that hushes your name.
The memories beckoned by bloodline are blown away in vain.
Perhaps a moment will occur when l must see your face.
Though there we are then, as we leave that place.
Gone are the days when we knew each other well.
A piece of my heart is missing,  but the destiny of my soul is for me to tell.
Now be Gone that lingering tear.
Now be gone and leave my journey clear.
