To be in love

I’ve never been in love
I wouldn’t know how to describe the shift one would would feel
I can imagine that
You go from enjoying their company to craving it
You go from noticing their presence to hoping and praying they’re there
You always want to touch them, to eliminate all distance between you and them
You want to inhale them, their scent wraps you in a warm embrace
You need them to hold you
You need them to want you
To miss you
To crave you
To think of you
To love you
I think I have been in love
I think I’m in love…
            With you….
                      Right now.
