Swaying springs

Ruhi 2007 (Assam)

I see as the clouds run away,
I'd like to chase them but there's no way.
Just as the spring sways away,
Oh, thinking about it my heart feels so grey

Elder's say spring is the most beautiful season
But experiencing it along leaves no specific reason for this flowerly touch,
Then why do we want it so much?

Thinking about how fun it can be again,
Makes me happy on every rain.
How beautiful spring can be with it's strong essence, but who knows
Spring is green just from a distance

About this poem

This peoms is about the passing teen age of a person. In this poem spring is referred to teenage. The first stanza tells about a person who has already passed his teenage and missed whose days as his youth is also passing just like passing clouds and he is utterly sad and misses his young days. The second stanza is about a child who just entered his teenage and is tolled by his parents or elders that this age is the best age in a person's life but yet he is very confused by the hardships of this age; the sudden burden of academics, hormonal changes, mood swings and many more. He questions why do everyone wants this age and loves it even if it is so troublesome in his frustration. The age comes with a mots of challenges like a roller coaster ride, one is scared yet very exited. The third stanza is about a child who will soon enter his/her teenage and is very exited for the spring to finally arrive in his life and so he/she is happy even when it is hard for him/her but he/she knows

Ruhi

I'm a high school student from Assam. I write poems as my favourite hobby and find great joy in them. Poems make me realise the worth of choosing words. I doodle around in pages after every little experience that gets stuck in my head. For me peoms are a escape from reality more…
