Thoughts

My mind has intrusive thoughts.
Some that become part of my psyche and some that need to be repeated until it fulfills its cycle.

The musical chairs in my head that become entangled and intertwined with notes of fading memories so vivid, it compels me to go into a trance.
Just to spiral into a dance of whispers and visions that may or may not have happened.

Glimpses that hold a piece of you, scattered between the version I remember and the version you showed everyone.

There are many thoughts that haunt me - ones that I hope consume me into exile.

The weaves that spiral into grief, sadness, longing, guilt and emptiness.

These intrusive thoughts spam the OCD train and compulsion that is refreshing, yet exhaustive.

A break from my own mind.
A break from my own hive.

Let the mania happen.

It has to happen so I can pick up the fragmented pieces again.

About this poem

Exploring and navigating through thoughts of depression and mania can one finally start to understand oneself in their journey to recovery.
