Broken Heart
Ax.Barajas 1980 (Illinois)
Broken heart, torn apart
I walk among a bed of thorns.
Trying to forget.
Trying to shake the pain.
I am numb, Feels like falling
down a waterfall.
No where to turn to or trust.
Stuck in a frozen friend zone.
Broken heart, I try to mend.
No matter how hard I try still
falls apart. A jigzaw puzzle
with lost pieces to make a whole.
It's 5 am can't sleep. Hours
echo inside my head.
Feels like I am
accelataring with no brakes to
stop me.
Never thought I would myself
like this. In a maze of lost hope.
Broken heart so much heartache.
Trying to tell myself it's gonna be
all right.
Only hope that exsist is the light that
hangs above my ceiling. Even though
close my arms are heavy I cannot
reach.
Broken heart feels like a car crash.
Head smashed, broken axle,
headlight shattered across
the asphalt.
Broken heart being dragged
through the mud.
Stuck in quicksand.
Can't hardly move.
Can't hardly breath.
Paralyzied, impossible to feel.
What is true.
Broken heart my own shadow
I cannot trust. For when I need him
he fades away in an endless
moonlight. Blood turned cold,
Heavy breathing.
I remain standing with an empty
hole inside my chest. Feels like my
soul has escaped through my
rib cage. Replaced by another
entity that has evolved into
another identity.
A being that cannot feel
joy turned cold. That cannot
trust with a broken heart.
That only believes in one
purpose to live,to learn and
to live unending with a broken heart.
About this poem
I wrote this in vision of my own struggles and pain I go through in my daily life finding purpose and away to vent what bothers me.
