Janus

Ryan Blackborough 1984 (Adelaide)

She's a goddess, true poetry in motion.
The kind that has you sacrificing yourself in devotion.
Hypnotised, I move her sway.
With no question of acceptance, live to dance in her ballet.
I found a light, a beacon of perfection.
Then once I'm at worst I find it's lies and misdirection.

About this poem

Just a breakup poem. For context she was an actual ballerina.

Ryan Blackborough

For years he lived in a secret government facility. One day they found him and were like "what the fuck are you doing here?", and they shot him. Now he wanders the earth as a ghost, a poet ghost (not a ghost writer, he's way cooler than that). I very much loved her. I still do, unfortunately but I know I need to move on.

I pray you have the courage to move on. You should know you'll never forget her. You'll just be able to live in peace with the memories you shared and the part of you that she'll always live with.

Thank you. I'm slowly getting there. Ultimately I do want her to be happy and I want to be happy too. As long as she finds someone that treats her with respect (unlike the guy she replaced me with). Aside from that, I don't want to give up on finding love.
