IN GRACE STAND

Barry Green Jr 1973 (Florida)

IN GRACE STAND

Lord help! I'm stranded
Stuck here in a quagmire
Their lies hit me backhanded
The gallows rise ever higher
I'm condemned by my sin
And I've fallen again

Lord I cry out  in despair
As the mire draws my under
Your enemies jeer at my prayer
The heavens shakes with thunder
Though I'm fallen, faith lifts me
The chains of death break free

Lord I know I've walked far
From where I should stand
Bring me  to where You are
Lift me with Your mighty hand
Out of the mire of my own sin
Help me, Lord, to stand again

Lord watch my enemies flee
Their traps in turn trap my foes
See Your power as You rescue me
All the World, Your power shows
And my the power of Your hand
I will now, in Grace Stand
AMEN

About this poem

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. Romans 51-5
