INTERLUDE

Barry Green Jr 1973 (Florida)

INTERLUDE

Right from the start
You took my heart
You sealed my fate
Now I wait
You spoke the Word
I always heard
I took a break
My mistake
I walked the walk
Talked the talk
Always look
Read the Book
I say what right
I shine the Light
I write the rhyme.
It's right on time
I never stop
Back on top
Live to show it
The Christian poet
Never back, always forth
In the south, to the north
I speak my mind
Free the blind
Present the Cross
I've never lost
Stand to shout, Rush to preach
All the lost I can reach
My thoughts I say
I talk and pray
Now don't be rude
It's my interlude
His Light I shine
In dark to find
Back away?
Not today
My sword I swing
To serve my King
Bow your head
Oh living dead
Born to die
I live, not I
Christ inside
Crucified
Third day arise
Squash the lies
Fight the fight
Shine the light
Please don't intrude
A Poet's interlude
AMEN
