Rules Protected Sugar Ray

Free verse
Sugar Ray Leonard was too speedy, electric, and inventive for marvelous Marvin Hagler.
But Leonard’s biggest friend was the Queensbury Rules.
In a street fight Hagler would have grabbed him with one hand and pounded him with the other.
They gave protection to Sugar Ray Leonard.
Maybe boxing should change its rules a little bit.
