The Waiting

I'm just waiting

Waiting for it to be over

I'm over all of it

Every bit of it

It makes me sick

It doesn't make me well

I'm just so over it, can't you tell

I'm just tired

Tired of trying

Tired of lying

Lying to myself that it gets better
But when

When will it be my turn

How much more must I endure

I'm anxious and insecure

This is the most uncertain puzzling piece of my life

I have no answers and I have no clue

No clue on whats next or what to do

I know what I want and what I expect

But there's no guarantees which makes me second guess

I've never been so torn between give up and keep going

I used to enjoy not knowing

So again, I'm just waiting

Sometimes I'm not even sure of what I'm waiting on

Never been so unsure, unclear, and I don't even know

About this poem

The inspiration for this poem came from an emotional moment I was having previously. I felt compelled to write about since I was unable to express my feelings in any other way.
