THE MAGNOLIA BLOSSOMS
THE MAGNOLIA BLOSSOMS
Saucer Magnolia, the first flowers of early Spring,
With branches bare and brown,
All covered with clustered buds,
Waiting for the warm sunlight of Spring,
To open wide, your petals, for all to see.
Wow! The buds are open,
And the magnificence of your beauty, surpasses all!
You turn heads.
You knock 'em dead!
You give flamboyance to the city,
Filling hearts with delight,
And create the splendor of Spring's lavish beauty!
But, for a short moment in time your buds stay;
Then, they quickly fall to the ground,
To be crushed and to dacay
Under the feet, that march to the beat of time.
But then, green leaves appear to cover your branches,
Until Nature's Fall calls, changing your leaves,
Into the prettiest colors, ever seen.
They delightfully linger, until they hear whispers of Winter.
Then, they fall to the ground,
Leaving the branches bare, waiting for Winter's icicles.
But, as Winter fades into the twilight of Spring,
Your branches bloom, once again,
Beckoning the birds to sing, Life Is A Beautiful Thing!
