A Place

There is a place
Where my legs dare not carry me
The stars overwhelm themselves
In their pleading immensity
Reflection carries me there
To be like unto them

Kissing the sun’s face
Laying in the moon’s beauty
The heat sears me to euphoria
The air escapes me
Beyond I am risen
There is a place

Yesterday erased
Tomorrow waits patiently
The present breathes life
Folding and unfolding perfectly
Whereby am I being
There is a place
