VAST

Vast, vast emptiness of dreams
Windswept plains covering screams
And hopeless , the emptiness is vast
Trapped with the echoes of my past
And my demons howl drag me down
To a silence so vast, I can only drown

I'm lost in a vastness gray, bleak despair
In a world dying, dancing without a care
Watch the devil laugh in a demonic moon
We dance ever faster to a vast, dreary tune
Despair sucks hope ever further away
Like the light of a vastly, forgotten day

Screams carry by on a darkened wind
The vast despair of hopeless , lost sin
Angels forgotten in a dark world's delight
We cry out lost in a vast, darkened night
In my despair I can only fall to my weary knees
Cry through the vastness, my  hopeless pleas

God if you hear me, past the pain so vast
Lift me from the darkness, free me from my past
And though I live a vast wasteland of loss
Through the whirlwind I see Your rugged Cross
So I turn around, and walk towards Your Pain
And my burden lightens, love starts to gain

I see myself, a poor tired lost lamb
Who is plucked up by the Great I Am
And the despair falls, and fades to my past
As I'm wrapped in a love so deep and vast
And the Love of my Lord brings a hope restored
As I join the vast choir of Saints praising the Lord

Vast, vast love beyond all hope and measure
That sees past this earth to Heaven's treasure
A love unknown in the devil's darkened realm
A Love that secures with Christ at the helm
And tells us we are forever free from our Past
Found only in the Blood of Jesus, love so vast

And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:16-19
