WHEN THE HAMMER FALLS

WHEN THE HAMMER FALLS

The world is spinning out of control
Always waiting for the next blow
We hide in silence, shiver in fright
Blinded by demons howling in the night
Sure seems someone has dropped the ball
We're all waiting for the hammer to finally fall

We see a few brave souls valiantly stand
Watch them brought down by a mighty hand
We weep and cry, and we flee to hide
But there's no hero by our side
To Heaven we cry and desperately call
Cause the hammer is about to fall

I feel lost in the night, quiet and silent
Once I was strong,  but not against this giant
All I can do is stand here before You
Lord,  You alone will see me through
To You I will faithfully call
As the hammer starts to fall

I see the thorns in Your torn brow
The stripes tear Your back even now
The Blood that sets us free starts to flow
As the soldiers hit You with another blow
On the Cross the nail is raised to save us all
Salvation starts when the hammer finally falls

The world is in Your Hands, Your people rise
The lost wail,  as evil fails and dies
The darkness fades before Your Light
The enemy falls before Your might
For all the myriad horrors of Hell
Shattered when the Hammer finally fell
AMEN
