Your Place Or Mine

If wishing it to dream,
For someone special hoping to meet.
Having all the ingredients,
That the heart, mind, ears and eyes...
Will find no one else,
Unable to compete.
Why continue to play a game that delays,
Known too difficult to beat.
When two people have shown,
Temperatures rising between them both.
Not to run and stay.
With no attempt to escape from flames.
Heating up to nearly,
Burn their clothes off.

As both pretend what is felt for them,
Is hidden and discreet.
And not expose to show publicly.
With both noses wide open.
Frantically breathing.
As if in need for more oxygen.
And that ain't all attempted,
Kept to keep secretly discreet.
Rising from a smoldering heat.
In the midst of falling snow.
Leaving two alone standing.
Melting ice that begins to thaw,
Frozen to freeze on an urban city street.

'Perhaps we should go for coffee to get.
Or maybe hot chocolate.
Or tea honey sweet?'

'In this falling snow where would we go?'

'Your place or mine?'

'Then to do what?'

'Open up the windows!'

Hi, Edwin...your comments remind me of what I use to experience on another poetry website. Now, today? I make sure what I write is done. Then close out my submission to Poetry.com. I've also changed my password a few times as well.

Well…There is a movie starring Reece Witherspoon titled “Your place or mine” and it was a subliminal thing…The same goes for the 127…There was a small dive in the town of Lompoc, CA called “Your Place Or Mine” and it was a subliminal message to that singer as well…Though I do not believe yours may have been in reference for either…And the following has nothing at all to do with this subject…It seems as if I discovered someone impersonating me online actually selling trinkets of my poetry without my authorization…If anyone may know of anyone paying anything which I have given freely without cost as I believe as it is in heaven…Please stop paying even one cent for any of it…Furthermore they are writing garbage that does not even conform to my standards…I wonder whom might be behind such a thing???Assembler do you have any idea of whom it may be???

Hi, Edwin Ray...thank you for your latest comments. Although, I must admit this, I have no idea what they mean. Explain.

The movie with my greasy spoon or 127 on the South side of town???Maybe it’s my overactive imagination thinking of the valley…

I hope your not drowning in that strange…I didn’t wait around for my inhaler…I discovered taking slow shallow breaths without expanding my lungs too much actually keeps me from using my rescue inhaler…But I believe my time remaining is very short…
