Gone too soon

Gone to soon,
Taken to the heavens,
You were filled knowledge, wisdom, love and compassion,
Our hearts were broken when you left,
Sadly our worlds have become quite bereft,
You took care of those in need,
You gave to the needy with no expectations,
You gave to your family, never asking for things in return,
You held us all with a loving embrace,
Nothing can ever take your place,
The void in our hearts will never be filled,
God must have needed you up there,
We press on everyday hoping to make you proud,
We will always miss and love you,
The only dad I have ever known,
Couldn't have asked for a better man as my Dad.
