The Invisible Book

I wrote a book of poems back
In autumn of last year.
There never seemed to be a lack
Of rhymes and patterns here!

I wrote and wrote.  They quickly came.
It almost seemed just like a game!

But when I tried to get the book
Out to the public through
Self-publishing, they had a look;
"We know just what to do."

That's when it slowly disappeared
When it went hand to hand,
By people that I later feared
Would never understand!

How could so many fail and fail
Their ideas soon became quite stale!

And so, I told a friend who said
He knew someone who could
Help with my manuscript instead
Of doing me no good!
