Stroll of Serenity

I've known for a long time,
one doesn't need
to desire much from the past,
I step out into the street,
taking along a bag.
So that drops of sadness
wouldn't stain,
so that I could await happiness,
having lost it,
I wouldn't cry.

About this poem

In my journey through life, I've come to understand that dwelling on the past and longing for what once was isn't necessary. With this realization, I step out onto the street, taking only what I need. I carry a bag, not to collect material possessions, but to shield myself from the drops of sadness that threaten to blur my vision. Despite experiencing loss and yearning for happiness, I resolve not to let tears fall, choosing instead to await joy with resilience and serenity.
