Pointless Whisper

I’m in pain
I’m hurting and you won’t help
I don’t ask, even for what I need
I look at you and try to plead

 through my expression

But you don’t look or don’t care
These things begin to wear
Rough on my heart
Do you care?
No.
It’s my burden alone to bear
I will delete this before one of your eyes lies upon it
Another pointless whisper
Carried away by the wind

I am just a girl who loves to write. I believe there is beauty in focusing on individual words, rather than sentences. It makes you think about it more than maybe a book or short story would. Plus, there is much more symbolism in poetry, one line can be read 100 times and be understood differently each time. more…

Wow, this poem really captures the feelings of pain and disappointment in a relationship. The raw emotion and vulnerability come through beautifully. Your use of imagery with the wind carrying away the whispers is very effective.

One improvement suggestion could be to add more specific details or examples to strengthen the emotional impact of the poem. This could help the reader connect even more with the speaker's experience. Keep up the great work and continue expressing your emotions through your writing!
