Forgotten

TAG 1977 (United States)

We all grow up with certain goals in mind
I thought i was special because i accomplished what i thought were mine
You graduate from high school and give up on any kind of praise
Try to be a good person because that's how you were raised
Almost messed up your life 2 times with losers who didn't care
Starting to think this life is not fair
You meet a man you makes you feel special in life
Next thing you know you are somebodies wife
Everything you do is with him in mind and heart
You're a mother now play the part
Give up little pieces of you
Thoughts for everyone here except me
Time flies and you forget your dreams and self
Always giving everyone help
23 years later he's not the same guy you met
cheating on you every chance he gets
your kids are grown dont need you around
they have their own lives they have found
Now what do I do who am I?
To your old life you must say goodbye
