English Evergreen

For many ways more than one,
       you can count on me

for all the wiser, all the growth,
         I have been bent

thrown into a cascade of a fresh slate
     a wiped wall

and do not doubt me my friend, I am stronger

Bruise, soft touch, willingly

It takes months of letting dust settle for the brick wall to appear

before it slams into your nose.

I could comment something dastardly, to point this at you

   in any way at all

my hand reaches out, it traces a shadow
of someone

     who has hidden

repe-tedly

do not forget what you have made

do not regret what you have changed

when amongst the olds, I am excited for the news.

Your news, do not believe you are old news.

I still shake. Olds.
