Where did it all go?

Where did it all go?
The happiness, the glow.
I'm not the same till now,
In shadows, I wallow.
My spirit's echo, now.
My heart felt hollow,
Why can't I follow?
The way I used to flow..

It's as if I don't know any pain
The thing I want to gain
Was never in my hand
Still, I tried but I failed again, again and again
No one ever saw the rain
But it caused me the pain
Which I can never heal again

About this poem

The poem reflects a sense of loss, longing, and frustration. It explores the disappearance of happiness and inner light, leaving the speaker feeling hollow and trapped in shadows. The repetition of "again and again" emphasizes the recurring nature of struggles and failures, while the imagery of unseen rain symbolizes hidden pain. The poem also touches on themes of resilience and the inability to let go of past desires, even when they seem unattainable. Overall, it captures the complex emotions of disappointment, yearning, and the struggle to find meaning in difficult circumstances. It's a poignant and introspective piece that invites readers to reflect on their own experiences of loss and perseverance.
