My Dad is protective,
Always there for you and me.
Quick to defend us,
Never condemns us.

Affection is his middle name,
Giving us his love and affection.
Reminding us of one fact,
We are the apple of his eye.

He’s a wall of trust/security,
We can always go to him.
Knowing he will help,
He’s the one to tell.

Always encouraging us,
He wants us to soar.
As high as the Norther Shore,
So High and free.

Always willing to listen,
He is your open ear.
Just go to him,
He’ll lend you an ear.

He provides,
Making us strive.
Giving us what we need,
For this lifelong journey.

Always fun to be around,
No matter how old we are.
Being around you,
Is most of our highlights growing up.
